The Half-Pint Readers
were written and illustrated by LuAnn Santillo, a Kindergarten teacher in
the Riverside Beaver County School District in Pennsylvania. She created
these little phonics books for her students to read while they learned the
letter sounds through phonemic awareness instruction. Word quickly spread
about the effectiveness of these leveled, decodable readers. As a result,
thousands of children are now enjoying the
Half-Pint Readers
and becoming confident, motivated readers! The author is married to Raymond Santillo, a retired elementary principal. They have four grown children, Megan, Jenna, Michael and Katie |
